Professional Experience

My professional experience includes working with children and adolescents in supportive, educational, and coaching roles. Through these experiences, I have developed strong communication, leadership, and advocacy skills while supporting youth development, safety, and overall well-being. These roles have reinforced my interest in health education and hands-on work with youth.

Respite Care Provider

As a respite care provider, I supported a child with an intellectual disability by assisting with daily routines, emotional regulation, and individualized support. This experience taught me the importance of patience, accessibility, and meeting individuals at their own pace. It also strengthened my empathy and advocacy skills.

YMCA Camp Counselor

In my role as a YMCA camp counselor, I supervised and engaged children in group activities that promoted safety, teamwork, and positive social interactions. This experience helped me develop leadership and communication skills while learning how to adapt activities to different age groups and needs.

Los Alamitos High School Girls Lacrosse Coach

As a girls’ lacrosse coach, I mentor student-athletes by teaching skills, encouraging teamwork, and promoting confidence and healthy habits. Coaching has strengthened my leadership and organizational skills and has given me experience supporting adolescent development in a structured setting.
